You didn't present an argument. You simply defended by basically claiming god is great and can get away with everything. As far as I remember that was all there is to it. That's why I didn't respond to it.
By presenting an argument I mean something countering the atrocious things being written especially in the old book. Genocide and stoning are the norm there. To simply sweep that under the carpet by saying God can do what he wants, may hold water with believers, but we take these things at face value and don't find anything adorable in them or the supposedly highest being inciting them.
That's why I always keep saying, god is created in the image of the ones writing about him. He's got the same human vices as all the other gods before him, who in return mirror the societies they were created for. We on the other hand, shouldn't follow Iron Age sentiments in a modern society.
