I have that one Ornette Coleman double quartet improvisation on vinyl. Whenever I think the two halves of my brain need resetting, that would be the piece of choice for sure. Otherwise the noisiest thing I listen to on a regular basis is something like this (note the string quintet in the middle)
I remember covering some piece of Cage's for prepared piano in school. I thought that was fun. Our teacher let us drop school books into the grand
Or does the time refer to the total time of the disk, on which also other stuff might be included?
