It sounds like you've identified where you've got issues, so you're aware of them. I simply offered the opinion that you should get help on them so that you're not being limited. I'm sorry for anyone going through the things you've described - I've been there myself, or I wouldn't have so much to say on the topic.
Whether or not you choose to fix those issues is up to you, but shouting about wanting to be accepted for eating only one kind of apple when we're saying that it's okay to eat from a whole bunch of different kinds and disagreeing with one fucker who is being shitty about those who do sample from a wide pool. No one was not accepting you, but if you're attitude is perceived as shitty, you will be called out on it, and if you express the things that limit you, like you did, people are going to offer suggestions for help SHOULD YOU WANT IT.
