Liberace was big in 'the day'. Sadly, his fans have mostly died off, the museum in Los Vegas closed many years ago and the collection dispersed. I wasn't a huge fan of his, and his final days (and the subsequent lurid court cases) were sad. Liberace understood his audience and gave them what they wanted, showmanship.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
