Don't hold your breath for a comprehensive answer on that. I already brought up Bigfoot and Randy supposedly being sceptical about him being real, but all I got was a "joking" evasion.

Talking snakes, men living in fish for 3 days, many holy men leaving their graves and walking into Jerusalem, 3 hours of darkness, healing leprosy with dead birds, casting demons into pigs, dragons living in Babylon... not silly beliefs. At all.
How does one justify belief in magic as being less ridiculous than a large, hairy hominid species somehow surviving deep the in the forest?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
