Remember that marriage is now entirely secular, any religious aspect is entirely optional. I understand keeping religious beliefs when believers get married, but why would you want to deny non Christian gays the right to get married and then have sex? I'm not getting it.
I get the feeling you wouldn't actually deny it, that you wouldn't actively oppose the passing of laws to allow gay marriage.
I'll leave the issue now, I've had my say
I absolutely think that 2 men or 2 women aught to have the same rights under state law. Though I do believe that marriage, in the Catholic sense, is definitive of a male/female relationship.
Regardless of my views on the morality of this though, I would never say that any 2 consenting adults should not be allowed to be together. It is their right to make that decision, and I respect their right to do so!
I don't think any sex outside of husband and wife is moral, whether it is between 2 people of the opposite sex or 2 people of the same sex. And I know it is hard for you to understand why I believe this. I don't blame you! It is one of those things that doesn't mean anything unless you believe in God, since I use God in my explanation of it.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
