As for arguments for/against, the simplest remains the best: until someone produces a god, I consider them made up. I'm good with you believing in one, as long as that doesn't lead you to sacrifice babies or starve your kid or ask that they teach your beliefs in school or make your god's pet peeves into law. But I'm good without one.
