To be fair, some of you guys here have flat out called me ignorant for not agreeing with you on the existence of God. Amongst other things.
So? Ignorant isn't an insult: everyone is ignorant about some things. It's not some binding evaluation of your entire character, at least, that's not the way I'd take that, though it's hard to gauge without context.
I have not been called ignorant for not knowing what a certain word meant, or for never having heard about a particular event that took places, etc. I have been called ignorant simply for disagreeing on the existence of God.
I'm just saying this because you're accusing Randy of talking to you in absolutes regarding beliefs as if you're wrong, and being condecending... I don't see how that's different than what some people here have done to me, yet they don't get called out for it.
I'm not complaining about this on my behalf or anything. Just pointing out the double standards.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
