That's not how the SCOTUS works. Barring Constitutional amendment, gay marriage is the law of the land. What will happen next will be a push for 'religious freedom' exceptions in administering marriage licenses to gay couples. Specifically, religious wingnut public servants will put up a stink and decline to issue licenses, which will result in lawsuits that will slowly climb the ladder until they reach the SCOTUS.
That's the next hurdle, and years away. But, even if the SCOTUS deems that individual public servants can't be forced to issue such marriage licenses due to their religious convictions, gay marriage will still be legal. Only a Constitutional amendment can undo that now.
