The great thing for the west and secular law, is that nobody is obligated to give one fuck what any holy book says. Theocracies suck unless you are part of that majority. The only thing quoting any holy book of any religion proves is that the one doing it has the ability to regurgitate words. One could claim Harry Potter is real too, and quote those books.
