I'm curious to know whether you think that if there is alien life and if it is sufficiently like us in cognitive ability and in an ability to think in terms of good/evil, virtue/sin, etc. would there be a need for a Christ figure for that species as well? Would God have to repeat his self-sacrifice act for each fallen species throughout the Universe?
Or is such a thought too silly to take seriously?
As for the OP, it seems likely to me that there would be life elsewhere, but of course we don't have evidence that there is and may never have such evidence.
That's a good question! I have no idea, of course lol. But I have actually wondered about this myself.
I wouldn't have a problem with it or think it's silly if this were the case though. Since I believe God is all powerful and all encompassing and infinite in every way, I wouldn't put any sort of limits on Him in terms of having to do the same thing a trillion times.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
