Err, I suggest the author read up on the history of the Indian subcontinent and the Khalistān movement (among other things).
That's not really an ongoing conflict. Hasn't been since the early 90's.
Hindu-Sikh relations prior to the 1980s were extremely amiable (with the exception of 17th century conflicts with Hindu Rajas from the foothills who had allied themselves with the Sikhs' auld enemy, the Mughals). Some Hindus of the Punjab continue to practice a storied tradition whereby the first born son of the family is brought up as a Sikh. The ninth Sikh Guru is revered as 'Hind Di Chadar' (the protector of India) by the Hindus themselves, because he willingly gave his head to protect the religious freedom of Hindus in Mughal India.
Relations deteriorated rapidly in the 80s after the Sikhs began to feel persecuted by the Congress Party, and became even worse after the storming of the Golden Temple in 1984, but were quickly recovered by the late 90s. Now, everything is as it used to be. The secessionist impulse is pretty negligible in the Punjab, it only really persists amongst the Sikhs of the diaspora, particularly those based in B.C, Canada.
Almost every single group mentioned in the 'no problem' section have had a violent, bloody falling out in the past. I mean,Jews and Christians. There are parts of the Christian world today where Jews are still vilified.
