Well if such A.I. somehow evolved feelings and emotions, and the ability to experience both pain and pleasure... then the question is if they would turn out to be more moral than us perhaps...
Because even if we're assholes, if they can't feel pain then we are the only ones who can suffer, but if they can too and we're more assholes than they (the robots) are, then we probably 'deserve more' anguish than they do perhaps, lol.
But then on the other hand, if they're more capable of being moral because they're like superintelligent robots for example, then we are doing all we are capable of and maybe such super robots should have a bit of sympathy if they're indeed capable of feelings lol.
Hmm... I'm sensing that such a discussion needs its own thread, because this is a bit of a digression perhaps! (Such hypothesising as such lengths).
