Reason being: There was a guy named Ahmed apparently, and he loved everything, presumably including Allah, less than himself. And Muhammad said to him: If you love Allah then you need to love me more than yourself. Thing is though, if Ahmed already loved himself more than Allah and Muhammad wants Ahmed to love him more than himself then surely that means Muhammad is to be loved more than Allah.
