Suratal Abu Lahab (The Fatiha perspective)
#1
Suratal Abu Lahab (The Fatiha perspective)
When reciting Quran with Suratal Fatiha as a counter part. I thought I would give my thoughts on this example with Suratal Abu Lahab.

I know many non-Muslims, including Atheists, have a problem with this Surah, why single out a man in a Surah and his wife, to go to hell. I thought I would share the Suratal Fatiha perspective with regards to the flow of Quran and the place of this Surah.

Acknowledging the praise belongs to God through his name, we know we ought to walk upon the path of his face, the praiseworthy path. Not only do we seek to walk the straight path, but we ought to find those who he has favored.

It seems Suratal Abu Lahab complimenting Suratal Fatiha is a warning, that, often humanity if they don't stick to God's Chosen ones and submit to God's guidance, will find themselves under the banner and leadership of such cursed souls.

It's inevitable that some people will be inspirited by the dark forces to oppose those who God has favored.

We want to be on the path of those who he has favored, out to be careful not to oppose them or be on the banner of those who oppose them.

This perhaps why Suratal Fatiha right away emphasized "other then those who your wrath is upon".

It seems "by the name of God..." is suggesting that Abu Lahab perished due to his opposition at the end to God's Name/face.

Opposing Islam and Mohammad (saw) was not a personal matter, but as Quran emphasized "they don't deny you but rather the unjust reject God's Ayat".

Ultimately, the hate towards God's religion and chosen one and that path he calls to, is all opposition to God's Name and Ayat (proofs/instances of guidance).

This in it's place near the end of the Quran is then followed up with Suratal Ikhlaas. Suratal Ikhlaas can then be addressing "those astray" and the need of them becoming sincere and pure with regards to guidance, although, it's not necessarily they are those who God's wrath is upon.

The Last Two Surahs then remind there are dark forces that seek to misguide humanity and bar them from guidance.

These compliment Suratal Fatiha in that we are seeking guidance.

Ultimately,  the dark forces inspire people like Abu Lahab due to the reputation has gained, to oppose God's chosen ones and lead against them.

God manifesting his wrath towards Abu Lahab with respect to Suratal Fatiha, is saying, don't stick to such people but free from them, and recognize the enemies of those I manifested from those who I have favored and chosen them as Guides and banner, and leaders from the righteous.

For they perish and cause others to perish!

Contrast this to Suratal Kawthar, a person who God has given such river of abundance through his name, thus telling him to connect (Salah) to his Lord and sacrifice (a symbolic ritual act of cutting off desires).

Who is worthy of being followed more and who does God want us to be under leadership, such a soul that has been given the Kawthar or left to our own so we are lead by the likes of Abu Lahab?

This shows divine wisdom in sending Messengers, revealing books, assigning leaders and guides, so as for us to be free from the likes of Abu Lahab but rather sticking to those he has favored.

By that we would be sticking to a praise that is of God's Name.  Ultimately, we would not be worshiping God if we disbelieve in his chosen ones for we don't recognize the light of the lord and his name, and are worshiping other then Him.

It seems by the words "carrier of the wood" that his wife in fact was the main reason for his opposition, and for such a low price, opposed God's Name/face and perished.

We also ought to be careful, just because we are in a family or a people who are of a certain faith or religion or sect or ideology, we ought to not oppose those who God has favored specially his chosen ones.

The place it is in Quran will be appreciated if approached with counter part of Suratal Fatiha. Suratal Fatiha is the counter part of the Quran.

And Quran come close to an end with such emphasis, to be followed by a reminder of God trying to guide the thaleen (lost) to Tawheed through rational and reminder, and to be followed by reminder of dark forces that try to keep us away from the chosen ones, mainly the famly of Mohammad and their guidance, is at the end a miracle to be appreciated.

How it flows with respect to the elaboration of Quran at the end is due to wisdom that God knew a certain people will mix pure ones with unclean leaders, claim to love pure exalted servants yet not be free from their enemy...this is a warning to such people.

I remember even a member on  another forum named TahaSyed, prayed for mercy for Sadam after Sadam died.

That is what happens to you when you oppose the chosen ones, you get upset at (and many even hate) the believers hating the cursed ones, the likes of Abu Lahab, which their hate is inspired from God's Name and you end defending the likes of Mauwiya and Yazeed, and seeking to abolish their crimes.

If we love God and his chosen ones though, we would be free from his enemies.

This shows wisdom of God manifesting some of those  he has favored (ie. family of Mohammad) so to be free from the dark path of the likes of Abu Lahab.

Suratal Fatiha gives us the logic we want to be on the path of those he has favored, so as to be guided upon the straight path.

But now with addition to that, it's saying, if Allah [swt] doesn't manifest a banner of guidance from him and sending Messengers and reveal books and appoint Guides, we are left at the mercy as to following the likes of Abu Lahab, who perish and cause others to perish.
