Just to highlight the most important words from the first sentence of the article: Representative Tulsi Gabbard resigned from her post as vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee on Sunday, in order to support Bernie Sanders in his run for the party’s presidential nomination.
She's likely not the only person who supports Sanders in the party; she certainly won't be the last to support him.
Besides, didn't I already explain in another thread that Sanders won the Democratic nomination in Vermont for his Senate seat, then turned down the nomination, and the Democratic Party decided not to nominate another candidate, and actively supported the independent Sanders for the ticket. The Democratic establishment aren't against Sanders because he's an independent. They are against him because:
1) He's running against Clinton, who is their favorite.
2) He's an anti-establishment candidate.
