I'm afraid that word "spiritual" is just way over-burdened. You'd have to unpack it and sort a lot of miscellaneous stuff out and have the person you're talking to point out the bit they have in mind just in order to have a conversation about the same thing.
But science isn't the answer to everything important to you. Ones values are not an empirical matter. It is only when one person makes authoritarian claims about what is or should be important to everyone that we have a problem. As that video posted at the end of the first page of this thread shows, "spiritual" has become associated with being smug and condescending about one's own values and grading everyone around you accordingly.
