Not surprising. You've shown to be quite ignorant in your understanding of Christianity, while asking questions without the desire to actually know the answers.
Nice try but I feel 0 guilt in standing up for those I love.

I am not sure about you, but I grew up in a very religious household. Our church would share around literature that contained similar talking points/propaganda. Anything in extreme is a bad thing. However, I am simply just curious as to why religious INSTITUTIONS are so obsessed with controlling this aspect of their followers lives. I guess the thread kind of became hijacked a bit. I will take some of the blame for that. But still.
I think people choosing to be loyal to each other is a touching and beautiful thing, the answers given were well thought out and eloquent, and much more important honest.
Of course no man can ever promise he will never emotionally hurt his wife after all we are all dicks from time to time, but he can I believe make a promise to never purposely hurt his wife. This is what I believe I saw there call it oppressed if you will, but i saw loyalty and love, from them both.
You know I came from religion too and regret my time there, but I never once regretted the friends I had made and the love I saw between couples. I don't believe what they preach, but like any people who strive to have a fulfilling marriage I wish them the warmest wishes.
