My understanding comes from personal experience. I have well documented and discussed everything from my judgement before Christ my subsequent sentence to hell, my second chance, andan personal experience of a angel who without a dozen words from me, told me of the prayers I prayed as a child. told me God heard them and would answer them then told me of my current situation in great detail then told me of a futute where 2/3 of it has indeed played out.

Not only that I have spent 20 years studying religion as a result of this and have tested the various forms of worship in the ways they allow/if allowed.

Some are as you think excercises in blind faith. Christianity is different in that it promises if you seek God in his terms he will personally 'show up.'

So you asked why do I believe? because I followed what God said in the bible and he showed up present day..

Again nothing I said here is new. I shared all of this from the beginning what 6 or 7 years ago and can provide you links.

It's worse than that; the Old Testament was written centuries to over a millennia after some of the events that it claims to purport, only to be redacted and modified over several more centuries later on.  Yahweh was no different than Baal; he was a local deity, one of thousands worshipped throughout ancient Mesopotamia.

what are you talking about? we have OT proof that the OT bible we have is an exact copy/translation of the same exact OT Jesus Christ Himself had access too. If he saw it and acknowledge it as being accurate for any Christian this is all that is needed. As again we are not OT Jews but new covenant Christians.

You want the accolades of knowing what is and what is not divinely inspired, not for the sake of know there is a god, but to use an authority or to use the written word to put someone into check, but alas, you are far to ignorant of any written work to to silence anyone on a topic. so you resort to what? It's almost like watching a 13 year olds version of the broadway play "the book of mormon." You get all of the fart jokes, you remember to cuss god, but anything over your head.. you pretend is not there. s when you bring your synopsis to the table, your offering is... barely tenable and equally incoherent most of the time.

Why? because douche bag, you have to really understand that which you seek to parody. you have to know the material better than the religious know the material. again, you don't. you have middle schoolers grasp of a subject you simply hate. and it shows.

Know this kind of blind hate 50 years ago would have placed you in the clan. because like them, you do not even understand the focus of your hate. you are simply ok hating ith the group think you are apart of. you have harsh feelings based on little to nothing scriptural. you just don't like the idea of God or god's people living in your world.. like wise 50 years ago it was ok just not to like the idea of black people living in your world. you are just the modern 'moral' bigot.
