Long term, I have long since been angry at even liberal media outlets, who harp on gas prices as much as Fart's news, but I have to agree, seeing morons fill grocery bags/trash bags, really makes one think, "REALLY"?
I get that humans, no matter their politics, don't like having their lives becoming harder by higher prices. But the truth still remains, our species needs to move away from burning fossil fuels. I've gotten lots of flack about "what are you personally doing about it". That misses the point that don't have the national or global power or am I a CEO. If change is going to be made, those globally at the top have the most responsibility.
No, it doesn’t miss the point at all. If a billion people drive a billion fewer miles, turn off a billion lights when they leave a billion rooms, purchase a billion fewer electric swizzle sticks and so on, the impact will be real and measurable. Saying that you aren’t a CEO and don’t have national or global power is simply a rather sad excuse to continue to be part of the problem.
