Disney Channel is making history with its first gay coming-out story

Other Disney franchises, such as “High School Musical,” have alluded to gay characters. But “Andi Mack,” which became a network hit after its April debut, is the first Disney franchise to center a story line around a major character coming out as gay.

Disney constantly breaks ground, an honestly makes good entertainment (well, I'm not fond of their TV shows so much, but lots of teens love them), yet so many people hate Disney, I don't get it.

Even as an adult, I'm still a huge Disney fan. I like some of their television shows. To be honest, though, I never heard of this one until today.
