You cannot separate god and Church. Quoting from TheAmazingAtheist on Youtube, its like separating Coke and Soda.You cannot say that I like Coke but I dislike Soda. Coke is Soda! The two are inseparable. So is Church and the Christian God.
Funny thing when I was a kid we called a fruit flavored drink a soda, a coke was coke or pepsi, and a pop or cola was a r/c. So the point you're trying to make does not fly for me.
I and all church members operate within the church, but with God as our guide, it's God who is our life not the church. We worship God not the church.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
