Well, it looks like I'll have to stick around then.
It was my old 2T media drive that was crapping out. I just copied everything to the 3T drives I already had installed and never had to do more than re-start to solve the issue. Copying took forever though, mostly because it was coming off a dying drive.
Soooooo glad it wasn't the SSD!
