I guess I'll go hang out in Ryleh. I prefer my conversations uncensored and my debates more civil. I know brainiac number 1 has plans...he always does. what about a more formalized set of rules for the debate section something as simple as a discussion section under debate.
Here's what I see.
Topic is debated -> discussion thread open for debate discussion civilly (sp?) ->people discuss topic civilly -> 30 days old the debate gets put in archives. that leaves a fully populated thread of discussions with civility rules? Or people can ignore the debate and it's subordinate discussion entirely. Or people can open a Ryleh thread on the debate to express their frustration less civilly?
No need to censor the rest of the forums more, and as long as people don't mind seeing the section on the newest, than I don't see any structural changes that need to be done.

"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
