Listen, I'm just trying to tell you that your intentions aren't plain in this medium. A kudos can mean agreement, laughter, "i read this", a lot of different things. Expecting anyone to suss these things out when you're being vague in a text-only format is just unreasonable, as is expecting them to differentiate between a joking insult and an insult laid in seriousness, which we had just been doing.

If a kudos meant "I read this" I need to kudos way more.

They can mean many things, is my point. Coming from someone so obviously antagonistic, I will of course question why they might be doing that.

Also, she told you she was joking like 4 times. Nobody is expecting you to suss these things out when they are flat out telling you they are joking. It's fine if you don't get the joke the first time around, but she literally pointed it out, and the fact that she gave you kudos to the post is a big hint as well. I don't know anyone who goes around giving kudos to people they are planning on insulting in the very next post. That's not the point of a kudos at all.

Don't piss on my leg and call it rainwater. Joking insults are passed between friends, and your wife has made it abundantly clear that she does not regard me as a friend. She should perhaps try a little of that friendly stuff before trying to pass that off as friendly banter.
