I did, after the warning above. I can show multiple PMs from mods saying that no rules were broken. So, I stopped, as the bias was (and still is) apparent. No. You simply fail to understand where the line between "insulting" and where it becomes personal is. Insulting is allowed. Making it personal (say, by verbally attacking someone's family members, or one's sexuality, etc) isn't.

There isn't a double standard.

For example, I can say, without breaking a single rule: "alpha male is being an enormous ignorant douche" (*). I could not make speculations as to your mother's sexual habits. One is my opinion of you. The other crosses the line into the personal.

I fully admit that there is subjectivity involved - but it's applied across the board, and we've sanctioned plenty of atheists for that kind of behavior.
