Well I'm really sorry to see Fr0d0 go. I read that he had "repeated rule violations despite staff warnings" but I didn't notice any of those. (He does seem very critical of staff sometimes.) Can anyone tell me where I can find the offenses which broke the camel's back?

The final straw came in the form of multiple frivolous reports filed in rapid succession, which obviously were only visible to us on the staff. We were in the middle of deliberations on the issue of the Pope thread at the time, leaning toward a potentially more lenient response, but the abuse of the report system- on the back of a history of doing the same, and in the context of what was happening in the public forum- was all we would take.

Fr0d0 has had more chances than anyone else on these boards, as far as I can see, and had been spoken to in private about what the report function is for. Abusive reports aren't a new thing for the guy, and when he decided to use four of them at once to make a rhetorical point, on top of everything else, there's really no other way to take that but as deliberate rule breaking.

I hadn't been following that thread at all so I missed all the excitement. Like I say, sorry to see Fr0d0 go but I still think we have a fabulous staff doing what has to be an aggravating job for little more than a concern to maintain a great forum. I appreciate what you guys do and I really like this place. I'm certain that I would have an even harder time not taking things personally while acting on behalf of the site than any of you. It isn't perfect but its pretty damned good.
