More like phrases I hate. Everything PR related such as "being excited to" in a corporate connection. "Streamlining" when it's product related invokes some hatred too, since it basically means, we've worsened the product.
Like me, you'd explode in the British Civil Service. From clear sky thinking outside the box to brainstorming and every abomination between. One phrase that gets up my nose is "fill out (a form)". You can fill in a form, or make out a form; but unless you're a female wearing a tight top or a male in tight jeans you cannot fill out anything.
Oh, and another one just struck me: "different than". Land's sake, people, "different" is a comparative - you're comparing one thing to another. Thus it's "different to". Don't make me come down there..!
