Where I used to work, there were some people who thought it cute to pick their noses and smear it in strategic locations, like on/in coffee mugs, desks, the keys of communal PC work stations, etc. A big meeting was called, and everybody was made aware of it. That didn't stop it, of course. It got so bad that management had to supply Clorox wipes next to the PCs. And I locked the door to my office, because I don't like the smell of Clorox wipes.
