I was trying to replace vowels with consonants. But I was also taking the first line and reversing it on the second. I also think using a symbol first in the  first line is important.

the reversing thing seems to be rule 4, and @ is rule 1 (though I don't know if it needs to be first on the line as you suggest), but rule 4 we were all doing already, so we had to go back to trying to work out rule three... we know what passes, but we don't know why... so we can get all the way up to breaking rule 5 but can't find the connection in rule 3
