Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you here. Every race has been enslaved and oppressed at some point or another. I'm a little tired of playing the "who deserves our pity and who doesn't get to have an opinion because they're not one of the chosen oppressed races" game. I don't understand why white men get it more, either, is it because women are historically oppressed?

The subject of cultural appropriation doesn't make any claims as to one group never having been oppressed, or which group is the greater oppressor, nor does it by itself make any statements as to who deserves pity or who gets to have an opinion.  People, especially the psycho internet sjw types, say that shit plenty enough... but the designation as cultural appropriation is silent on all of that.  

I know you didn't say it did, only clarifying in case anyone is under that impression.

My race and gender have been brought up several times in this thread as an example of why my opinion should be mocked or discarded. If that's the case, then the white males who are doing the mocking and discarding can go ahead and do the same. They are white males and therefore cannot speak for the oppressed, obviously. Fucking hypocrites.

Whether or not something is cultural appropriation - as pertains to their use of the term, is an issue of whether or not it fits their distinctions from other types of cultural transfer.  Some transfer, even in decidly colonial relationships..will still -not- be cultural appropriation - again by that use.  If I, for example, learned the language of my slaves - it would not be cultural appropriation just because they were my slaves.  The race or gender of any given commentator is a complete non-issue to that.

Again, just clarifying in case of misapprehensions.

Nonono.  Don't say the same thing about me that I just said about you.  You said that people like Khemical incite things like "white power movements."  I'm saying that since Khemikal both believes in and is against cultural appropriation, it's highly unlikely that he's a white supremacist-- like, pretty much impossible.

For you to cry that someone is implying you're a racist or Nazi is a bit hypocritical, because you literally just said that to arguably one of the least bigoted people in this thread.

Khemical is bigoted though. He is constantly railing against white men.

You must have missed the part where I established that I was superbigot, lol?  I'm bigoted directly in proportion to my whiteness, in fact, which is immense.  How do you know what I constantly do, anyway. How long you been here?

And yes people like Khemical, who perpetuate the idea that white men are evil, are the very ones that incite white pride, white power, etc. The white power movement is in response to people like Khemical.

Well, not all white men are evil.  Only super white men, like me.  As the purity of one's aryan blood decreases so too does ones relative level of racial evil. Perhaps you're less evil than I am. 



Or, maybe, just maybe, you're peddling a persecution complex.
