What arrogance is there? God has, purportedly, shown himself before...-and now-...to all of these believers.....hell....you just said that you see god in a roundabout way......?
Who believes movie sets...................................and do you really want to invite comparison between one work of fiction and another, and the people who believe in either?
No; I didn't "see" God; but I'm sure that "He is there".
Just like believing a movie was recorded; because I saw it and used cameras myself.
There's the personal, Humanoid God, I never believe in such thing. "Thinking" and applying the human prescriptive on him is where I think and believe faith gets twisted into the hideous forms we see mainly.
Once we begin applying human traits on God; we lose the way.
