At the same time, in Western countries, Muslims are small minorities vulnerable to discrimination and oppression. It's not inconsistent to want to defend Muslims from discrimination and oppression while wanting to stop Islamist extremism and terrorism.Isn't it odd that people who say they love the sinner but hate the sin should think it inconsistent that we defend the muslim but not the islamism?
Just like it's not inconsistent to want to defend Christians from discrimination and oppression (when they're vulnerable to it, which they sometimes are; though usually from other Christian denominations) while wanting to stop Christianist extremism and terrorism.
