The spiritual and intellectual isolation that indoctrination produces is why it;s no great feat to know more about spirituality than a true believer. It;s not even uncommon for a non-believer to know more about a true believers faith, specifically, than the believers themselves..because one of the requirements of that faith is often the denial of any uncomfortable reality of the faith.
It;s one of the benefits of not having a shaman in a funny dress telling you what books you can and cant read, what is or isn;t "sinful"....or scaring the shit out of you with stories about genies waiting in every hidey hole.
