In the current case, there is a question as to whether she's a citizen of the U.S. She's probably a citizen of Yemen. They can have her. As for legit U.S. citizens, I'm not sure if U.S. citizens can ditch their own citizenship legally (I know the UK doesn't let people do that), but if you can, and you do pledge allegiance to another country, get fucked. You're not a citizen. If you are a citizen and you haven't disavowed your country, then come on back and face trial. My guess is it won't go well.
