Can I ask why you refuse to read the article?

I used to post alot online and talk politics. I rarely do anymore because people have gotten so extreme, so angry, so hostile, so toxic.

disagree even slightly on one issue and it feels like half the country thinks you're a nazi while the other half thinks you're a communist.  when you're in the center it feels like everybody hates you.  

The way things are I often feel like I'm alone in a world gone mad. this thread is proof to the contrary. there's still plenty of us traditional liberals who aren't down with the right but also not part of this new preening self righteous cancel culture purist woke cult springing up on the left that reminds me of the self righteous church ladies I grew up with always finger wagging and pointing out your sins.  

There's still plenty of sane people out there. its just that the loudest get all the attention these days. and makes it feel like they're more numerous than they are.  

so I felt it was important to make one of my now rare online posts to say to the exhausted majority, you're not alone.  (and that's in reference to this (see the link below) which proves this.

It's a sad state of affairs. Especially like when certain individuals above like the one I quoted will openly admit that they won't even read a piece of someone's work; I assume this is because they first want to know if the author is "on the correct side."

It's insanity. I won't read your message, even if it's a factually accurate, logically coherent message, unless I know you play for the correct team!

Fortunately, I think what you're saying is true... these types of people do not make up the majority of liberals, they just yell loudly and make a lot of noise.
