Sure, diversity can be done as virtue signalling.  It can be done with motives of manipulation (think Donald having a few token blacks behind him at speeches, or saying "Look Kanye likes me -- I must be good for black people".

it is said he has done more for the black community than any other president in the last 60 years including obama.

But ensuring that people in actual power represent diverse segments of the population is just good for society. 

it is if they are competent and qualified. if they are not then the only reason the are they is as a show peice and a move for control.

Sure, Biden could just be signalling to his progressive wing, but at the end of the day, those people are still in positions of power.

which is my point. because if the people who are in a position of power are not the best for the job but rather they fill a quota, then they are placed in those positions as a means to infiltrate and control a given community. again this was the observations of malcolm x. are you saying malcolm x was wrong here?

The alternative is what?

hiring the best and most qualified person available no matter what color they are. if this means all white males so be it.. if this means all black males so be it. it is means all lgbtqrts 'its' so be it. why would you even have to ask that question? do you not understand how merrit works???

understand... i'm not white and still don't care if all white men ran everything so long as they were the best at their given task. I would not care if they were all black so long as they could make the best decisions for our COLLECTIVE community.

but political appointments are never done that way, and never will be.

Agree again politicians can only see how decisions effect votes. but business men do know how to hire the best of the best. So do billionaires. put those two together and you will get the best of the best.

And, if there are a truckload of qualified people, make sure they represent the viewpoints of the actual people.

when you lower the bar to make sure everyone is included... yes you are right there is a truck load of qualified people. but if you raise the bar then you narrow the field and will get the best of the best.

the simple fact it's been 100 days and biden has not fired anyone... prooves his appointments are a political move and the people put in place are their to control a segment of the population. ever had a job? ever hired in or under a 90 day probationary period? ever been fired in that 90 day period? ever seen anyone fired in that 90 days? As a business owner i have fired many people in that 90 day period because they fudged on experience, or their resume was perfect but their work ethic was not.. you can't tell me every diverse name was an absolute perfect fit and are well suited to be at the top of the field in their specific vocation. Finding the best of the best is a trial and error process. you have to go through several people with no concern to race to find the best.
