That is pretty much where I stand with this. I do not think the government should be able to tell people what to wear. However, people should have to remove face coverings when necessary. Shit, there are restaurants with dress codes, why not banks? As for being 'against' Burkas, I am not quite 'against' them. I am against the oppression that they symbolize. If a woman truly feels more comfortable wearing it, without any outside influence, then I feel about the Burka the same way I feel about a scarf . . . nothing. However, if the Burka is an excuse for her husband to beat the shit out of her (if she doesn't wear it), then I hate the Burka and would gladly help any oppressed Muslim woman burn the shit out of her Burka and get her husband arrested.
