God would not ask for a sacrifice today, Christ finished all such sacrifice, you have no leg to stand on with this.

Chippy JUST SAID that god had no intention of having Abraham sacrifice his son even back then you dipshit! Your point is mute -- YOUR god asked a FATHER to kill his SON for him - regardless of the reason or what year it happened!

Lucky for you, you don't have to prove any of this ever happened. You know full well that no one in their right mind is going to believe ANYONE who claims god told them to kill their children. If your god chose to test you today by asking you to make a blood sacrifice out of your children, would you do it? Oh wait, in all honesty, you wouldn't would you ... because somewhere in that puny brain of yours you know that what I'm saying is right and that there is NO WAY IN FUCKING HELL that you would gut your own child for an IMMORAL god who likes toying with his play things. Thankfully the story is fiction, but even if it wasn't, Abraham would be arrested and condemned as an insane man guilty of attempted ritual murder and sent away without the slightest defense from imbecile christians like yourself. Hypocrite.

People are people and 2000 years doesn't make one god damn bit of difference. Crazy is crazy and the false need for blood sacrifices is just as horrifying now as it was back then.

Hmmm ... you on the other hand could not get any worse. Here's some people who disagree with you. http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/febible.htm
As for your claim to what people thought back 2000+ years ago...

Yes there was a few enlightened people (Eratosthenes comes to mind) and a couple of civilizations that believed that the earth was a sphere way back, however it has been well established that the predominate notion in the Christian controlled world was that the earth was flat. To deny this only shows more of your own naivety. Research the lives of men like Galileo and Copernicus if you doubt me ... but please, study from a text book that wasn't dreamed up 2000 years ago and written by fucktards.

It effectively boils down to chippy and G-C worshiping a 'god' who is so inept and evil that he needs two clowns like them to make excuses for his abominable behavior.

Wonder which one's the True Xtian™?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Why didn't you use the quote I replied to, all I said was that God would not ask for any kind of sacrifice today, Christ was sacrificed to put an end to all sacrifices. God has never intended for any human other than his Son to be sacrificed, and man did not sacrifice Christ for their sin, God did, man murdered the Son of God, people with the same mentality as yourself. As for the story of Abraham, it was true whether you like it or not, your disbelief changes nothing. You are correct in saying that Abraham would be jailed today, however God would not ask it today, as I said Christ put an end to all sacrifices, if you could see past the end of your nose you could see that.

Prove that the writers of scripture and those involved at that time believed the world was flat and held up by pillars, you made the statement not me.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Here's an example of what they wrote, G-C.

Quote:6 The LORD kills and brings to life;
he brings down to Sheol and raises up.
7 The LORD makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts.
8 He raises up the poor from the dust;
he lifts the needy from the ash heap
to make them sit with princes
and inherit a seat of honor.
For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's,
and on them he has set the world.

Now you PROVE that these ignorant goatherders did not mean what they said.

I expect a load of apologetic horseshit in 5...4...3...2...1.......

He doesn't see it as lying.

He sees it as protecting his fucking worthless god.

(We know he's lying.)

I will refer you to Min's post above for a specific reference, but beyond that, I think it's funny that that is the ONLY point you addressed. You conveniently glossed over EVERYTHING else I wrote. Awesome. Truly awesome your ability to simply ignore that which you cannot defend.

Also, I have to ask ...

It's gotta be getting pretty embarrassing the amount of times that the atheists here throw the Bible back in your face - is it not?

Seriously, have you even read the thing?!? You put your foot in your mouth nearly every time you post here. It's like you only have the most basic Sunday-school-grade understanding of your Bible. Dunno

Again trying to make one thing look like another, wishful allusions on you part my friend. Read the first ten verses of chapter two, there's no description of God creating in those verses, why would you believe that the word pillars in verse eight means columns. In this verse pillars relates to God's power and justice. How can I know this, read all ten verses without your blinders of discord and you might see the truth, pretty good Sunday School class.

If you want to see descriptions of creation read Job chapter 38. In this chapter God uses doors to hold back the seas, you probably will believe that Job truly believes this I suppose. I believe I answered your questions, you do not like what I had to say so, you as usual dismiss my answers.
