The Trilemma

That is all I can find too. Passages that say, "I'm like my dad." being interpreted as, "I am my dad."

And all these come from the Gospel of John, not the three Gospels written closer in time to the alleged events.

If you read the first three Gospels, you can't find anything to justify the assertion that Jesus was supposed to be God incarnate. Jesus and Yahweh speak to each other in 2nd person, of each other in 3rd person, Jesus claims to have no knowledge of what Yahweh knows (when the second coming will be), and Jesus submits to Yahweh's will (prayer at the Garden before his crucifixion).

Obviously he was working on his magic act.

RE: The Trilemma
In conclusion:

Here's the breakdown of the Trilemma:

1. Start with the desired conclusion
2. Assume Jesus really existed
3. Assume that we have infallible records of this person., his life and what he claimed
4. Speculate two alternatives: liar and lunatic
5. Strawman the hell out of those alternatives (reducto ad absurdum)
6. Arrive at desired conclusion
7. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

Neither had I. Is that the fallacy of the excluded middle? (aka false dichotomy)

The Extended Trilemma (or Quadrilemma):

JC: Liar, Lunatic, Lord or Lunch.

(Sorry; been toying with that for a few days and couldn't resist.)
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

That's when he appears on toast.
