RE: Judgement:
the level of maturity is different in every person, it is not determined by age, education or beliefs, a psychologically mature person has the ability to know how to act in a situation in a serious or non-serious way and in my opinion that ability comes with experience
Personally, it's not God I dislike, it's his fan club I can't stand.

I disagree ... there are people who will always be stupid, people who don't learn at all from experience, people who should never be allowed on a jury or even (IMO) to vote ... ultimately we base maturity on a societal concept that as you get older you get wiser and some people just, well, don't and some people are born plain smart. And then, of course, there's the fact that wisdom is not across the board ... just because someone is wise in the ways of, say, government doesn't mean they can't be a total pillock when it comes to some other arena.

I gotta say fr0d0; that I wholeheartedly agree with statement.

I think you are mature if you truly admit that no one is FULLY mature, everyone is ignorant to SOME extent, and you are comfortable with your own immaturities and imperfections that you are 'mature enough' to be aware that you do indeed have them (as does everyone to some extent I say).

Someone told me that arrogance is different from pride because arrogance is Pride+Ignorance...

I'd go further and say that I think anyone is arrogant to some extent, if that person doesn't ADMIT that they are ignorant (at least to some extent).

It's no good saying arrogance is ignorance+pride if you then go ahead thinking "Oh, but I'm not one the ignorant one's btw Wink" I think it's immature and ignorant - and quite arrogant - to believe that you're not ignorant in anyway. Because we ALL are to some extent.

I prefer to just put it that we are all ignorant, and I'm comfortable with that. And the people who are the most wise, mature and knowledgeable OVERALL - I'd say are the one's that have come to terms with that.

So the way I'd like to put it is to go as far as saying: If you are proud but yet don't ADMIT that you are ignorant, then you are arrogant.

And regardless of whether you are proud or not, I'd say that if you don't admit that you are ignorant (at least some some extent - everyone must be to some extent at the very least, and NO ONE truly 'knows' absoulutely in the sense that; no one has access to absolute knowledge, to claim to have such access is ignorant) then that just adds to your ignorance. And if you don't come to terms with and also ADMIT your immaturites then I just think that's just another sign of immaturity.

Since I think it is a mark is wisdom to admit your ignorance and a mark of maturity to come to terms with your immaturities.

Although, saying all this. I'm not absolutely sure about that Wink to claim absolute knowledge about this would be ignorance and arrogance in my part and a mark of such (and immaturity I think Wink )

So I admit I am ignorant about the matter of ignorance too (to some extent at least) - I'm not absolutely sure of that. Ooh! How mature of me lol Smile (although I'm not absolutely sure on that lol).
