It's actually called 'strine' .

Quote:Strine /ˈstraɪn/ is a term coined in 1964[1] and subsequently used to describe a broad accent of Australian English. The term is a syncope, derived from a shortened phonetic rendition of the pronunciation of the word "Australian" in an exaggerated Broad Australian accent, drawing upon the tendency of this accent to run words together in a form of liaison.[2]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strine

You will speak strine when you can pronounce "Australia" correctly (the 'l' is silent)

AND when you understand "Emma Chiset?" and "Gloria Soames"

AND have mastered the rising inflection.

Hehe It's almost a a given that if you like Adam, you don't like Will.

I don't mind him, and I really enjoy the Gruen Transfer - it's very interesting to get inside info on advertising (even if most of it is obvious)

RE: Veganism?
As long as the animals weren't suffering or living in cruel conditions then I'm happy eating meat; a swift painless death is humane and desirable. I don't see the problem with eating meat but it's hard to defend eating meat I think. I saw this Dawkins and Peter Singer video, where Singer mentioned that in a couple of hundred years the majority will be vegetarians. Dawkins is a meat eater and he said that he really conforms to the social norms, and I guess he's right; and I do as well.
But veganism? I don't see a problem with eating anything that's come from an animal. If the animal was living in good conditions.
But I don't think I could ever become a vegetarian or a vegan in that case. Why? Mcdonalds. That's why.

Speaking of meat... I'm really craving salami right now. And I mean salami off a summer sausage.

Really craving it... I'll have to buy me some.
