How is it a religion of lies?

Some are saying Islam teaches killing unbelievers but those verses in the Quran refer to a battle. Also there is a rule in self defensing, we must not go over the top and kill incident people.

Why did your all merciful god start a war in the first place? And then he advocates killing people in the war? Why create enemies? Last time I checked, your god was omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.

Well the Quran has a simple method of dealing with contradictions, later verses overwrite earlier ones. To bad all the later violent contradicting verses over-right the peaceful ones, making I literately a book of hate.
