Well, for what it's worth, here's a long essay on his relationship with Buddhism.

Did you buy it directly from Buddha, or a middleman? Angel
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I've heard several times that he acted like an agnostic that got sucked into a lot of new age style spiritualist stuff. I'll be borrowing his biography from a family member soon, so we'll see. Not that it really matters except for curiosities sake, but then again curiosity is awesomeness in a box.

I imagine he'll soon be a mormon. Not only is he dead and unable to defend himself but he was also rich which is a combo they can't avoid.

Since Apple isn't contributing directly (that I know of) to religious organizations (though I'm sure paychecks go to various places regularly) I don't understand why it would matter if some religious nuts use Apple, or Microsoft.

If they want to hold up their overpriced iPhone and shout that Steve Jobs was Christian of the highest order, it wouldn't do a goddamn thing to the technology, nor would it make their religion any more valid.

That was of course his own stupid mistake, but the asshole or assholes who got him to that point are of course no less guilty of culpable homicide, and should be prosecuted for their part.

Imo, promoting homeopathy is a criminal offense: homeopathy kills people! As was demonstrated once again.
