That's just silly. The floating sky water thing wasn't too thick to block out all light -- 'cause plants and other terrestrial life. You see, Chad, before the flood, the light that got through was refracted and appeared as a magnificent global rainbow as God's promise that --
Oh, wait . . .

Where's Hovind from? I suggest we poison the water supply, no more must be allowed to get out.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

People actually believe the utter BS lifespans present in the OT? Like, really? Really really?
Man, I can only imagine the diseases these people had, what with livestock and the rodents they attract, and other water-and-airborne diseases they must've been exposed to, not to mention no vaccines, fluctuating food and water supplies....
You do realize that Socrates died at 71 right? and that was from being executed...
Actually after the flood God decreed that Human expectancy would be only three-score and 10 (70) years.
There are people even now that don't make it past their 70's which in noway means that people don't live to be 100+.
You do realize that the exceptions don't disprove the rule, right? And that I said average lifespan? And that people living to 120 is pretty incredibly rare even in our modern age of medicine? And that the idea that there was a layer of water surrounding the globe is pants-on-head idiotic?

Well, technically there is a layer of water surrounding the Earth but we don't normally see it or experience its wetness. It's the atmosphere. You can extract water from it by using a simple room dehumidifier.

Water can take forms other than liquid...

The stratosphere is a layer of atmosphere where temperature increases at higher altitudes. On Earth, ozone in our stratosphere captures UV radiation from the sun, warming that layer. Elsewhere in our solar system, methane warms the stratospheres of Jupiter and Saturn's largest moon, Titan.

Yeah, but some christians think this other water is like a floating ocean. Not a bunch of water vapor.

how am I grasping at straws? I just show an example of a planet surrounded by water in it's upper atmosphere...
So you can't say it's not possible.

I've never heard of that. Although if this was the kind of stuff that rained down on Noah's world, I doubt a wooden boat would survive it.
