I'm looking at a "playthrough" of Dear Esther, the stand alone revamp of the Half-life 2 mod. It looks stunning, but does it constitute a real game I wonder.

I remember it being popular on moddb.com a while back, though I never played it myself. From the reviews I've seen reception has been pretty positive. It's not a shooter or a horror game, it's very story driven - which that review basically tells you, I guess.
