Well aren't all prayers wasted anyway, regardless of your religion? XD

Prayer: The least you can do for yourself or someone else.

Literally. The least.

Apoligist answer: The prayers are affected by the earth's gravity, therefore when they travel they hug the earth's curved surface getting right where they should be..
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Disagree.

The least you can do...

Is to do nothing. I'll grant you prayer is to do nothing while you think you're doing something though Smile

Boy I sure hope that isn't the apologists answer, because now I want those prayers measured. If gravity has an effect....then prayers have mass. Maybe it's all the prayers floating around that are holding in those nasty greenhouse gases.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It's not like they can measure the direction of their forehead to the nearest millimetre anyway is it? Even if they did have their prayers affected by earth's gravity they would still be miles away.

Well no because then it's no longer the least, it's just...nothing. XD Least implies minimality, some token measure just above nothing. Big Grin

I would relish the chance to hear any apologist say something that stupid so I can rip them a new anal orifice and show how insanely stupid they really are.

Nah, photons are affected by gravity and they have no mass. Maybe you meant that they have a measurable amount of energy. But that means they would be detectable and drum roll please.....they haven't. But maybe just maybe the Muslim apologist Ahmed Deedat would have said something along those lines but the guy died in 2005. I actually met him once, nice guy, stupid beliefs though.

You're saying that the people who have the least amount of money... have money?
