Mine changes too. I shall talk to my family before I record my video. However, there really aren't many words on that list that bring out a Boston accent.

The females ate it up, I may as well have been dripping honey from my lips. Probably has something to do with that whole "sense of the exotic" that changes as quickly as you change state lines. lol, even going as far north as Maryland and laying it on gets a peachy reaction.
That reminds me, Summer. I will be down your neck of the woods in September!!

Let me know what your schedule is and where you'll be and I'll do the rest. Yeah, after living here I can tell the difference between a Charlotte native, a piedmont backwoodsman, and a mountain-dweller. Sometimes it's just a matter of how strong the drawl is, but there's a difference in inflection and the way certain things get stressed. It's pretty interesting. Something interesting I learned in high school was that if you wanted to get as close as possible to the type of English in Shakespeare's time, you had to drag out a real bumpkin from the upper middle Appalachians. The English accent as we know it developed I think when the Hanovarians took over.
BTW, Summer, I agree: imo you speak in a fairly general mid east coast accent, with hints of a southern drawl. But not nearly as thick as Aleia's of course.

Ahh, here's something: it's not the pages I originally found back in the day, but it'll do for anyone vaguely interested:
http://www.bardweb.net/language.html Which links to this - the page has pronunciation guides and such. http://www.renfaire.com/Language/ (For the record, while I go to the Faire as often as possible, and have even worn a corset or two, I never got THIS deep into it) I can't wait to listen to y'all when I get home. I hate not having sound on this computer.
Park the car and walk to the bar, Shell.
(I'm a fucking sucker for that accent btw)

I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I am hoping others here will do this too, as I think it would be a lot of fun to hear everyone's unique accents. If not, feel free to make hilarious little comments about mine. According to my grandparents, you say 'pecan' like a northerner. According to them the true southern way to say it is supposed to be with with the emphasis on the 'Pee' followed by 'Can' as in 'can of corn.'
