Atheist Bus Campaign

Atheist Bus Campaign
After the success of the campaign I was just thinking what other types of slogans you might like to see on the side of busses and on t-shirts.

I've come up with this..

"There's probably no Jehovah
So go ahead and have that blood transfusion."

Nice Big Grin

But why "probably"? Is it just because to be more diplomatic?

Anyhow Jehovas witnesses is quite.... strange.

For the same reason the Atheist Bus Campaign used the word probably.

It's not so much a compromise but accepting that you can't prove a negative. In advertising you can make really odd claims but when called upon them you have to be able to substantiate that claim or you might get sued over them. Probably no <fill in mythical character here> is much easier to substantiate than definitely no <fill in mythical character here>.

And as atheists we know the importance of evidence as we are always banging on about it to theists. So, if we make a definite claim then we need to be able to back it up.
