I am thinking that maybe the use of the word philosophy/ical and scientific/ method are being confused here? And further that theologians have no use for the scientific method that is applied to the matter mentioned in genkaus' post??
Correct me genkaus if I have read your post wrongly

Because God says how he created us, already human, he spoke us into existence. If he created swamp muck and we crawled out of such, he might have told us that, but that's not what He did. When you believe in God, you take the whole bible as truth, not your own cross bred interpretation of some hybrid creation/evolution.

So even though all evidence points to the contrary, you have to swallow what the bible says hook line and sinker?

If the Bible is the literal truth then why does the Catholic church say evolution is the go now? Where does that leave them with the theological aspects of Jesus?

No he did not Hunter...he did the charlatan, magic man poof!! Out of dust... I'm sure that is mentioned somewhere in that silly little book. Point of fact is that those who wrote the "book" had no idea how babies where made let alone how evolution started.

There are a lot of fallacies in Catholicism, I don't agree w a lot of things they do. I can't speak for their stance on this. And evolutionists theories will always have missing links and flawed carbon dating etc so I wouldn't call that much of anything let alone evidence.

Wrong again kid. What is known is thoroughly known ...what filters to the religious has to pass through those of power over the ignorant.

I'm not sure what you have understood, but here's my stance.
Suppose you say that diseases are caused by demons. Now, diseases are a biological phenomenon and to the extent demons can affect those, the existence if demons becomes a biological question as well. The mode of inquiry of this hypothesis can be from two angles. Either you can study the biology of a diseased body - studying its cause, state etc. and determine if anything that can conceivably be called a demon comes anywhere into the picture. Or you can start by studying demons and their existence with respect to biology and see if they could possibly affect it in such a manner. Either way, the field of study is biology.
